I (and my poor teeth) remember all that have been mentioned LOL.
I also remember taking the Black Jack, Clove and Teaberry gum wrappers and folding them together somehow to make a chain that we wore around our waists like a belt.
And look what I ordered from Amazon back in March!
$15.99 for 48 of the small ones, and I am good and sick of them right about now!
Oooooooooh...

I still love candy ciggarettes, wax lips, mustaches and those wax bottle filled with sugar soda. lol every Halloween I spend a lot buying wax mustaches, and those wax soda bottles. They come in kind of a six or a 3 pack? The kids LOVE THEM. I also give out ring pops and dum sums. That along with some modern sour straws, the kids have my house marked out.
every Halloween I send one of my grandsons a case of candy ciggarettes, it's an on going thing I hav Ed one since he was 5. He knows the perils of smoking and doesn't, but loves the candy ciggarettes that really puff smoke.

Some of my earliest memories were of my mother watching Mitch Miller on TV and eating these...

I used to love the big Big Sugar Daddy's when I was a kid, in 1950's and 60's. They lasted a long time at the movies so a Big Sugar Daddy or one of those Charm suckers were a choice ....for lasting. It would get me though first feature, I'd have to reload if I could for, second feature. I had 35 cents to go to movies. cartoons, newsreel, and 2 features...hopefully The Three Stoooges go to Mars or something. 25 cents admission, 10 cents for concessions. Or, we hit candy store and stuck candy in!!!!!
it was even more exciting when they had a drawing for roller skates or bike during intermission.

@just bee I still eat these, order from Amazon. However, they are a little softer in old days they woukd go hard when opened, I like them that way...like I love my PEEPS, stale and hard. But I think they add chemicals to keep peanuts soft today. They don't dry out like before, lol
