I would like to thank you all for helping me get through the most sorrowful year of my life...lost my best friend of over 30 years....a wonderful parent on my granddaughters' softball team....and a dear 16 year-old family friend...there were many times I thought I couldn't cope, but you helped me through many dark days...thank you....I wish you all a Healthy and Happy New Year.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I can relate.
Last week, I lost a dear friend and neighbor, and my husband has been hospitalized for almost two weeks.
My dad had a fall and went to the ER two days ago. Seems to be all right but is being observed.
Let's hope for the best for all....happy 2018!

Sorry for your losses & I've lost so many dear friends this year and my nephew in 2016 I just pray for everyone going thru any sad times.
I too have come to these "boards" and have always felt the support from strangers who have become forum friends! Perhaps it's because of the level of kindness, words or more...the posters here (inc Mods) are always available to get us thru the day!!!
May 2018 be a blessed & wonderful year!

and everyone here that is experiencing loss and sadness, please know that you are thought of, and prayed for when asked. Know that you are not alone in your losses, your sadness and your emptiness.
Here is hoping the new year will be easier, with health and happiness finding it's way back to all who are missing them this year.

Nananana59, I am sorry that 2017 was such a tough year for you. I’m in the same boat. My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, my daughter was diagnosed with a serious auto-immune disease, my 95 year old mother fell and broke her hip, and I ended the year with knee replacement surgery. Someone said God doesn’t give you more than you can handle. I disagree.

Sorry for what you're going through. Hope things get better. I don't know how God determines how much someone can handle--never look to "him" for help.....take care...
