Re: Artic Zero Ice Cream????

I tried it (cookies and cream) and thought it had an odd texture and taste. I didn't think it was worth the calories so pitched it.

Hi RRR, I haven't been posting that often on some of the threads here, but just wanted to say "hi," and I hope you're doing well. :-)

I've tried a few flavors of Arctic Zero, and I have liked them, but I usually tend to like things that aren't too sweet. I know some of my friends who have tried Arctic Zero haven't liked it at all. I have noticed, though, if you wait 15 - 20 minutes (or so) for it to soften after taking it out of your freezer, the flavors are more pronounced. The first time I tried Arctic Zero, I thought it tasted like ice crystals, but as it started to melt, I enjoyed the flavor more. The next time I tried it, I left the pint on my counter to melt a bit, and then stirred it before eating. To me it tastes better that way. Just a suggestion - it might not work for everyone, but thought I'd pass it on. The flavors I've tried are Cookies & Cream, Mint Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Vanilla Maple. My favorite was Cookies & Cream. I didn't really care for Vanilla Maple, but I'm not a huge maple fan to begin with. I really only tried it because the grocery store where I buy Arctic Freeze only carries those four flavors, and I had already tried the others. I can see how someone who does like maple would enjoy this flavor, though.

For me, I don't eat the whole pint at once, but I do like having it around for those times when I'm craving a little something sweet, and don't want to indulge in real ice cream. If you decide to give it another shot, try leaving it out on your counter a few minutes before eating. Hopefully, you'll get more of the flavor, just as I did. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Re: Artic Zero Ice Cream????

All this reminds me of that Seinfeld episode...when no-fat yogurt was the big rage. Giggle
