Re: Arm is just a little stiff with less range of motion. Day 2 post vaccination #2

Had my second Pfizer vaccination this morning, my left arm is pretty sore tonight but no other symptoms at this time. Hopefully nothing worse than that.

@Goodie2shoes, many people do get a bit of a flu-like reaction, especially after the second dose. I did the next day. It's not terrible, and it might mean that your immune system is working.

We got our first one today.  Next one in 3 weeks.  Pfizer.  It went like clockwork, they were excellent in how they did it, no glitches at all.

@qualitygal

That's all good to know, since I get my first one tomorrow!🤞

Pen?  Why is that?

I know there are differences from state to state, but I've had a vaccine myself and I also volunteer at vaccine clinics and no one needs to signs anything here.

Moderna Dose #1:  On Day 5 after vax, I developed "covid arm" and also sharp pain in rib and consequent trouble breathing. This was sudden and out of nowhere.  Went to ER -- small pleural effusion.  Getting a non-contrast CT scan this afternoon to evaluate the pleural effusion further.  I would not be surprised if there's a connection to the vax.  Scheduled for Dose #2 on 3/6 but I will delay it.  I may forgo it altogether unless info can be given to me as to another likely cause.

@Deree @Please update us when you find out. Hope you feel better. There are multiple cases of pleural effusion following pneumococcal vaccinations.

@Mindy D  I had a CT scan yesterday. My doc called me this morning and said my lungs are fine -- that this is an inflammatory reaction to something.  He said it's entirely possible it could be to the vaccine and advised me to delay my second dose which is scheduled for 3/6. There's nothing to be done right now in terms of treatment because the effusion is so small (hard to believe it causes so much pain!).  It could take some weeks to heal and I'm to call him in one week.

Thanks very much for your concern!
