@tototwo We have had to dial the area code for a local call in New Jersey for approximately 20 years.

We've been doing this for many many years in Texas they said they had to because numbers reached capacity in some areas so the area code had to be added to distinquish the location.....

Yes here since 1995 when they assigned us a new area code. You will get used to it. I now find 7 digit dialing odd

I live in Metro Atlanta. We have had to do this for years now. So many years that I don't remember how many.
Edited..... I just looked it up. We've been using the full number since 1998.
