It seems like he won't get his passport back till the investigation is complete even though he is not a suspect.

Just saw a clip of a press conference with the parents and it is absolutely gut-wrenching to say the least.

It's so heartbreaking.  Changed lives forever.  A few moments of a poor decision, changed many lives.  I believe they released his passport back to him.  It sounds like she was swept away.  Those poor parents.
