QVC forums have had stalkers.

Wasn't there an incident a number of years ago when someone stalked a poster using information here and elsewhere?   

People who are determined can find out anything, you are not as anonymous as you think.    They can find out your IP address, they can cross reference you to other sites.   If you are posting here, you are all over Google.

I'm not fearful, just cautious.

I don't mean to be snarky, but I have a problem with  people always posting pictures of themselves, why?    I understand about realtors and other professionals but I'm talking about just the ordinary person.  I'm not that interested, personally.   Don't post your  picture for my benefit.

This is supposed to be an anonymous board;  I prefer to remain anonymous.  I would never post pictures from my real life and I would never ever post pictures of my grandchildren on a board like this.  I do share much of my personal life but I hope not enough to identify myself or my town.  I'm a private person and while it seems like regular people all want to be celebrities today; I don't want that and I don't need it.  If I wear a cute oufit, it's enough that my husband and the real people in my life see it and comment. I don't need to show off to strangers and I'm grounded enough to know that no out there in cyberspace cares about my cute outfit.  I didn't post my face on FB either and I'm careful about the details I post,  I posted a vacation picture.

Well, I've never liked my pic posted, but after friends and family had already plastered them all over FB, I just don't care anymore.  LOL  Yes, I've posted some here.  I've also posted more info than anyone needs to know.  So be it.  I'm a grown up and I'll deal with whatever comes from it.

It may come back to bite me in the A.. someday, but I hope they aren't hungry because I have no A.

Remember that one poster from NJ (I think), that posts hundreds of pics of her grandchildren?  Not a good idea IMO.

The problem is that the pictures of the children (or babies) can end up on child porn sites for the pervs to enjoy.  For that reason alone, I'd would never and have never posted photos of children.  Nor have I posted pictures of myself or anyone I know anywhere, including social media.  I have an account on FB but it is a superficial account, only so I can follow what's going on in my community, no personal pictures or info.....

Never would, I cringe when I go to my relatives Facebook page and see all the pictures they post of their vacations, new babies, etc.
