Are you close to your sister?

I am 5 years older and I had to raise her since our mom had MS........My mom helped too of course but I have wanted such a great relatonship with her and I am tired of trying after all of these years. I love her.......but I am tired to doing all of the calling unless she needs prayer she does not call me. Today is her 50th birtday and she lives in Texas......about 7 hours from me.........she is in the state I live in right now and she was one hour from the city I have been staying in until today.......I never got an invitation to her major birthday party tonight and the weekend.......I guess my brothers did.........and she new I would only be one hour away........it really hurts my feelings when I found out today but I am over it now........THIS IS WHY I LOVE FAMILY OF CHOICE........friends that love you sometimes more than your family.
