Introvert; if I were a battery, I'd be drained all the time.

According to Meyer-Briggs test - I'm an introvert.

I hate crowds and I long for 20+ wooded acres, so must be an introvert.  But, I'm mostly this:

I am 100% introvert. I do force myself to be around people only when I have to. I would much rather be alone or with one or two people only.

Re: Are you an introvert, extrovert, omnivert or ambivert?

I don't know exactly the term but I do know I'm weird. I've gotten to where I never really want to socialize at all. I find it exhausting and it causes a bit of anxiety afterwards. BUT, when I do choose to socialize, I'm in it to win it and I can be the life of the party. Ha! I'm very talkative, pleasant, enthusiastic, and funny. But it wears me out! I think neighbor friends are puzzled why I don't go and do more with them as I seem like I enjoy it so much in the moment. I honestly dread most any outing or social event and don't really want to go beforehand. I guess I am a total introvert with an outgoing personality. I truly wish I were different. Woman Frustrated

Re: Are you an introvert, extrovert, omnivert or ambivert?

Has anybody, who is not terribly outgoing, ever been told that people thought you were stuck up?

I had that happen more than once.  It would be like - well, you didn't say much and I just thought you were stuck up.

I felt bad about that because I wouldn't want anybody to think that.  But, they always told me that once they got to know me they saw who I actually was and it wasn't what they initially thought.

@chickenbutt   I especially had that problem in high school.  I think introverts are often misunderstood.  I think it's easier for introverts to understand extroverts rather than the other way around.
