I've been artistic and creative my whole life in my 75 years. Drawing and color pencil is my forte. Currently, I'm doing Zentangle, paper and card craft (Iris Folding), and just started Junk Journaling. I've dabbled in many artitistic ventures. I'm very blessed to have talent to enjoy being creative. I've sold my stuff too.

Hi, @qualitygal ! I used to craft a lot in my younger years - sewing, crocheting, macrame. That all went by the wayside when I entered the business world but since I retired I've gotten back into it now and then.
My husband and I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii immediately after I retired for about 5 years. During that time, I took a water color class with an artist in Kona, who now lives in Sedona.
The photo below shows a trio of cherry tomatoes I grew and my water color of them.
My most prized project was a mosaic surfboard I made while studying mosaic art from the watercolor artist's son in Kona.
It hangs over the doors to our master bath.
Now, I'm into colored pencils trying to reproduce watercolor effects.

my father was a professional commercial artist and a cartoonist on the side. His art genes went to my sister. I cant draw for beans. I am a wordsmith. At some point in my youth, I thought I might like to become a writer. Then I learned that writIng, especially novels, is largely comprised of research. Which sounded like a 300 page term paper so I abandoned that idea. 😄

No. I used to do a lot of needlepoint. I'm a very impatient person these days. Crafting takes patience.

@Mom2Dogs - We've never had the space for me to have one in our home. There was a local camera store that had a darkroom that you could use for a fee but they didn't survive the pandemic. There is a local university not too far away that has a darkroom. I want to check to see if they have open hours that anyone can go in.

I do my own settings on a couple of old SLRs....now, I can't even find film, or anyone who develops it. I was especially fond of B&Ws with tri-X and filters. di
@Desertdi - You can still find film on the internet but it has gotten crazy expensive.
