I've published five books so far and counting. I love to write. I also like to knit so if anyone wants a lap blanket, let me know. 🤣🧶✍️📚

I made 80% of my clothes in high school and made simple things for my girls as a young mom. Outside of basic repairs and hemming, I rarely sew anything now.
As a teen, I embroidered designs on pillow cases and table scarves, and also got into fabric painting because my grandmother was into that pretty heavy. I also tried candlemaking and needlepoint. Disappointed my grandmother by not taking up crocheting which was her passion.
Reading has always been my thing.

The 1st half of my career was as a Product Developer & Buyer of Home decorative accessories & tabletop. That required both creativity & business skills.
I've written 15 novels & am currently organizing my thoughts for #16. I'm compelled to write.
Years ago I tried knitting & sewing, but didn't excel in either. My grandmother was wonderful at both. I envy those who have those talents.
My family members are focused on finance and science. I think they're creative in their fields and come up with new ideas & solutions.

Yes! Writing, photography, oil painting, drawing, piano, guitar (electric and acoustic). The skills I don't have that I wish I had are: sewing, singing, and cooking. I'll try anything. I skate (inline and roller....don't care for ice skating or skate boarding).

If you have Microsoft Office you could create an excel sheet or use One Note. In one not you can pot pictures or links or articles in you note and have different tabs for different projects. The organizing customization is endless which can make it perplexing to start but once you do it's really amazing ingredients. I se it at work and whish I had years ago.

Lots of creative people here! I'm Loving it!
My love of color leads the way, all my creative projects start there. Never saw a color I didn't like, including my wardrobe. Learned early on that hues of colors are very important to show 4 dimensional visuals, balance, contrast and interconnectiveness.
Over the years:
Embroidery since 8 years old, free style 'doodling' of all sorts of creative stitches - this is what I am into now.
At least millions of needlepoint stitches, some kits but mostly my own designs (learned how to paint needlepoint canvases), no limits to what can show up on a blank canvas.
Using different templates, compasses, rulers, etc. for mandala designing. Used hundreds of Copic markers, pencils, ink, watercolors, acrylics, etc. etc. I have had showings and sold many; some were commissioned.
Designing/Making journal books from scrap papers, printed inspiring color images for the covers; sold hundreds of these for charity.
Creative writing, story telling and Japanese haikus. I save and read these to my grandchildren. Sometimes posted them on social media.
Home decor is a creative process. I'm always changing things around, painting, faux painting, stenciling to create a different look and feel to a room or area.
Organization is another creative process: Extra bedroom is not only my meditation space but also where I keep neatly stacked/categorized/labeled items required to create all of the above, and at the same time finding the personal edge of the creative spirit whenever and however possible.
And me - I'm a walking/talking/emerging creative process. So is everyone else. 💞

Wow! I am impressed with the talent here!
The only things that bring out my creative side, is making a beautiful atmosphere. I love to decorate my home and outdoor living spaces. I love looking at Pinterest and getting ideas. It brings me joy and peace to see the beauty and comfort. I used to sew a great deal, but now just hemming and alterations.

Hmmm, let me see. Sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, bead crochet (crocheting with seed beads), decoupage (remember that fad?), embroidery, counted cross-stitch, needlepoint, learned tatting but didn't keep up with it, lampworked glass bead making, and took jewelry making classes at a local college. Once you learn the pattern of the project, the repetitive motion of knitting and crocheting is very meditative and relaxing.
I never got into the whole paper crafting thing with note cards or scrapbooking. Love to bake and cook, try new recipes. Love to read murder mysteries. Also loved visiting yarn stores just to touch all the gorgeous wool and mohair yarn. The yarn store in my town closed 20 years ago, long gone. Same with the specialty fabric stores with the silk, satin, brocade, wool, linen, long gone. I dislike ordering fabric or yarn online. I want to see and touch before I buy.
I have to say, I'm never bored. I'm very good at occupying myself with hobbies.
Regarding ideas on how to organize inspirations for future projects, just get an inexpensive spiral notebook or a blank bound notebook at Walmart. I'm old school, just write it down in a notebook. Doesn't have to be fancy or specialized. It was good enough for Leonardo da Vinci.
