@sidsmom   This chemical fiasco is just another reason why we should not be consuming dairy.  I've been free of dairy products for decades....I just wish consumers would dig a little deeper.

@sidsmomHow can I stop dairy??  I just discovered Fairlife brand and it is really delicious.  They're in Dexter NM and use a different source of water than Clovis.  But even before discovering that brand of milk I have had a serious attachment to Tillamook Cheddar cheese.  I have strong bones.  Doesn't that account for something???

'Strong bones' as a result of drinking milk is a nutritional myth.

Something our government pushed way back in the early 1900's.

Then add clever Multi-Million-dollar advertising campaigns of

today, it's not only milk/cheese but $$Supplements...

which are useless, as well.

What about cheese?

One doctor compares cheese to Vaseline since it's so high in fat.

No.....We don't need to drink secretions from other animal.

Re: šŸ„›Are ā€˜Forever Chemicalsā€™ In Our Milk? šŸ¼

@ann1989   It is a challenge to give up cheese and there is a simple answer why,  It contains casomorphine which is made by the cow for its calf and simulates your dopamine receptors.  Usually when people are trying to clean up their diet....cheese is the last to go, harder than meat, dairy, oil, and sugar.  It is a legitimate addiction.

 Here are a few tips:

Miyokos and Chao are wonderful transitional substitutes

You can also easily make your own plant based cheeses

Watch some You Tube vids on giving up cheese, a good one is by Jill McKeever

Research the harmful effects from dairy

Remind yourself of the good you are doing for your health, the planet, the animals

Be gentle with yourself as this is a process and can take time, remember you are dealing   with an addiction...a product that was meant only for the baby calf

If all else fails...watch Earthlings and Gary Yourofsky's speech, The Most Important Speech You Will Ever Hear or read Will Tuttle's book....those will do it.

Wishing you the best in this wonderful adventure!

@phoenixbird...it's not a myth.

And I sure hope that when you say, "...we should not be consuming dairy..." you're referring to you and yours.

@ann1989...I guess you missed this summer's Fairlife animal abuse scandal--or you don't care.

See? We ALL pick and choose.

Many would say the product (dairy) is far much 'healthier harming'

But if this alarmist approach is what it takes for people to

stop consuming dairy, then more power to stop producing dairy.

@sidsmom Which proves that it doesn't matter if "information" is factual or not if it serves the purpose some want it to serve.  For them it is about getting the result they want, not what is true and not true.
