April's Full Pink Moon

A Pink Moon is the first full moon of April. The Pink Moon signifies that we have fully entered spring, and like all of the budding leaves and flowers, we too, are entering a new phase. The Full Moon in April is known as the Pink Moon because it corresponds to the early springtime blooms of bright pink wildflowers.

To best view April’s full Pink Moon, peer up at the night sky on Wednesday, April 5. It will peak illumination at 9:37 PM PST which means that it will be at its peak just after midnight on the east coast. Happy viewing!

The moon was orange a few night ago.  It has been a beuatiful lunar cycle (now if I could just get my neighbors to leave their lights off).

We had a really bad storm-couldn't see a thing.

OMgosh, I just looked out and the western sky is a gorgeous coral shade!! I don't see the moon but the sky color is lovely. Very unusual. It's in the western sky.

Very big, 'close' moon.  Not pink, but still very beautiful.

Mountains (or whatever) on the moon were very clearly observed.

Thank you for the alert.  My neighbor thanks you, too.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
