AOL is my homepage. but now there is no place to enter an internet address (ie---.com)
Have I goofed up the settings or is this something new. Mr. henny thinks it is so we use google intstead of typing in an internet address.

You still use AOL?

She said she uses AOL, why?
AOL provides free email addresses the same way Yahoo, Hotmail and other providers do.
Not everyone is using Gmail.

Okay wise guys. I take enough guff from Mr henny and the kids. Yeah, I am slow to change and have had the same addy for a gazillion years and am not about to change. I was just hoping there were a few other dinosaurs out there that could help me.

I'm not trying to be a wiseguy, I once had an AOL account but gave it up long ago. I have no suggestion to help you other than contact AOL customer service, or sign up for another email account from the numerous free options out there.

hennypenny, I was defending your using AOL.
It's free.
I think some think AOL is an internet service provider like back in the day but AOL provides email addresses FREE. I have an AOL address too, plus a Gmail one.

At the top of the AOL homepage there should be a blank area that is the search bar.

Hennypenny,
What browser are you using? If you don't have a space to type in an address it is probably because somehow your browser was changed.
In firefox look under view. The drop down menu includes one labeled Toolbars. Open that and check to see if Navigation toolbar is checked. If not, check it and the space for entering an address should return.
I don't recall what the specific names are in Explorer to follow those steps but they should be similar.

If you are using the free version of AOL there is no customer support provided.
