Anyone here volunteer with Hospice Program?

If so, can you share your experiences? In what area did you serve? DH and I are thinking of working with Hospice. However, our therapy dogs would have to be part of the program. In our locality I think volunteers must have a lot of training (several days) before starting with the program.

DH and I have participated as volunteers with our certified therapy dogs in hospitals, nursing homes, private homes, libraries, day care centers, schools, etc. This would be just another avenue of volunteerism for us.
