I placed two orders with Chadwick's. One on October 19th and the other on October 21st. Neither one has shipped. I was informed they had technical issues. But I never heard of any websites technical issues lasting more than a day or so.

I ordered from them years ago and didn't even know they were still around. You may want to contact and cancel.

@Boehm Collector Maybe the technical issue is not computer related but has to do with a freighter off the California coast? Just like every other retailer.

@Duckncover I did contact them.. several times. The last time was a couple weeks ago. I was told that they had to remove an internal hold on the order (something on their end .. nothing to do with my credit card or account) and that my order would be shipped soon. Not sure I want to cancel yet as I really would like to get the items I ordered.

@Kachina624 that's possible. But it didn't sound like it from what I was told each time I called CS.

@Boehm Collector I went to the website a few weeks ago to look for something and for days all I kept getting was a "Technical Issue" message.
I'm not sure they are doing well, over the summer the message was that they were updating (I took that to mean the merchandise) and would be back in the fall.

I've been eyeing a black maxicoat but have not placed the order since I don't really need it.
However, I've ordered from Chadwicks in the past without any problems.
Of course, everything seems to have gone haywire everywhere. If I were you, and I wanted the items, I'd just stay in touch with them.
And make sure you are not charged until they ship!

@CelticCrafter I started getting the "Technical Issue" message when I tried finding out the status of my orders a couple weeks after they had been placed. I don't know whether they are accepting new orders as I haven't tried.

@Boehm Collector you may want to check Trustpilot. The recent reviews are pretty dismal.

I ordered product that was supposedly in stock only to receive half of the order. I've been calling for two weeks and keep being told the system is down. When I ask for a refund, I'm being told I can't receive one because the system is down. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, one is not available. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! IT'S A SCAM!!
I believe Chadwick’s of Boston is scamming people. I have been trying to get a refund for my returned purchase since the beginning of October only to be told repeatedly that “the system is down”. Buyer beware!!!!
This used to be a great and reputable company to deal with but all has gone completely downhill in the last year. Back orders for months; ridiculous shipping charges and fees; no promotions or deals and nonexistent customer “service” (Read: FRONT FOR SCAMMERS!!!). Returns and refunds said to take at least a over a month!?! Website suddenly and mysteriously down for “maintenance”. When customer service was called to check return status was told by a foreign “representative” (hacker?) that there was a “system outage” and she was unable to help but was going to transfer me to someone else (probably to fish for more personal info) and promptly transferred me back to herself giving another name to identify herself (same voice). SYSTEM OUTAGE MY A**!!! That’s when I hung up. Almost $100 lost and no merchandise to show for it even if it was the incorrect size. At least I could have sold the other items on Poshmark if I had kept them. NEVER AGAIN!!!
