I don't fly often, but I have always wanted to go First Class. I know it is expensive, so I was wondering if it is worth the extra cost.

Years ago I did.
I have observed after a long overseas flight(s) . . . when exiting the cheap seats . . . the first class section looks like PIGS must have flown over in that cabin . . . really . . . messy, stuff all over the floor . . . trash, blankets, pillows, more trash . . . actually pretty bad . . . whereas the coach section is fairly orderly and neat. I actually felt bad for the poor employees who have to clean up that mess. I Wonder why so messy?

Only once I was flying from NY to Detroit on business and a co workers, roommate worked for another airline in the same terminal and he was able to upgrade me, it was fun too bad it was only a very short flight

Occasionally we'll bump up using miles for a long trip. It is so worth it.

When my husband plans a celebratory trip, sometimes we'll fly first class. Although it's far from luxurious, (like it once was) it beats the cattle car seats we are usually seated in.
Every now and then, 24 hours prior to a trip, an upgrade will become available. When possible I take it.
The problem is you get spoiled and dread the back of the plane.

Yes, we have many times. For longer trips it's worth it. As soon as you're seated, you get cocktails or whatever beverages you want with refills.
You are served a meal with cloth napkins, warm hand towels, the works. But as other posters have stated, you get spoiled when you go back to flying coach.

Never. I can count on one hand the number of times I've even been on an airplane. Most of the time it's an all-inclusive vacation that includes the airfare that is not on a major airline or we fly Southwest and there is no first class.

I've flown first class twice. They were both long flights. It was very nice, but I would rather spend the money on other things.
Flying coach doesn't bother me at all.
