No. I find the topic too painful and wish we could emigrate to Canada. I don't even want to think about what is going on, much less discuss it. Smart decision by QVC for a change.

Why?  My brother lived there for a year and the taxes were outrageous.  He also came over the border to the US for his healthcare.

I hear you.

I hear you, too ... especially the part about moving to Canada (at least until the whole sordid mess is over).

I couldn't agree more.  There is enough of it elsewhere, we don't need to hear it here too.

No. Who in their right mind DISCUSSES politics. It is always just a scream fest that ends with bad feelings.  Best to keep politics and religion at home behind closed doors.

It's election year and we have to settle for discussions about Lisa R's latest antics (time to move on), and other trivial nonsense.

Even that thread is threatening to get ugly ...

Are you kidding me?

I would be happy if the political system were such that they do their only campaigning 2 months before the general election!

@faeriemoon, I understand what you are saying. In a perfect world, we would all be able to discuss politics like the adults we are without screaming invectives coming from either side. A real "discussion" would be nice. But it's never going to be that way on this board, so I guess I don't feel that loss.
