I submit my order and then I get an error message saying that I forgot to fill in the security code field of my Nordstrom debit card - which I know I just did. I've been trying to submit an order since yesterday morning. Now I got a rush of paranoia that maybe all of them did go through, and my bank account is gonna be drained!

Be very careful with that. Just last weekend I tried to order a very expensive coach bag and had the same thing happen with the security code. I gave up with ordering it. A few hours later my bank called and said that Coach was trying to put through a 700 dollar charge and they had to put a block on my credit card. Thank goodness the bank blocked it. I even had to tell them if any future charges from them try to go through to block them.

Omg something similar happened to me today paying my Internet/phone bill.......I paid and it said that it didn't go threw and try again but something told me to go check my email to see if i got one saying paid and sure enough there it was confirmed paid!.....Hope you have checked your bank account by now and all was well.....Think all the solar activity is making things go haywire lately...

I called my bank that my Nordstrom's debit card is connected to, and so far no charges have shown up. Now I am on the phone to Nordstrom's card service - and I've been on hold for 20 minutes now! So I wonder if there are hundreds of customers who suddenly realized their bank accounts are being drained. Yipes. Gonna stay up until they answer and get this straightened out. Wouldn't be able to sleep anyway.

good idea. I decided not to make any web orders with Nordstrom due to their website problems. If
I want anything from their anniversary sale, I’ll just go in person to get it. I had enough aggravation with Coach. Good luck with the phone call.

40 minutes and still no answer. I messaged their Facebook page, and if I don't hear from them by morning I'll keep pestering them. Unfortunately, my regular bank said they can't block Nordstrom.

Reading this thread makes me wonder if something odd was going on with the Internet today. Earlier, my DH was trying to check his account info on his Tracfone, as we've bought new ones and were about to switch over.
He kept getting a message "Insecure Internet Connection". What's up with that? It was our private wifi.
So then I tried to go into my Tracfone account on my computer and I kept getting that my user ID or password wasn't correct, when I knew perfectly well that it was. However, I tried three times to change my password. Each time it said it was changed successfully. Then when I tried to log in - same thing. "incorrect information". I gave up at that point, but may try again tomorrow.
I hope whatever it is, it gets sorted out soon.

@grammarqueen Wow! Your bank can’t block Nordstrom? I have a bank MasterCard and without my permission they blocked Coach and then called me. I sure hope you get this resolved. I surely won’t be making purchases on the Nordstrom website after reading this.

They are just overwhelmed, despite the fact that the stock tanked a few days ago because of "slowing sales". At least in my community, everything is selling quickly even in presale.

Their site crashed due to overwhelming traffic. As for their stocks going down; maybe if they didn't "gift" thousands and thousands of dollars of merchandise to YouTube "gurus" in order to shill the products, they would be better off.
