Anyone Doing Fun Stuff Tonight?

I've decided DD and I are boring folks.  LOL  Evenings, after dinner and cleanup, are a movie, playing Uno or Scrabble.  When DH worked the night shift DD and I would meet for dinner or go shopping.  Now, we prefer home and quiet.

Tonight is pizza and the new Halloween Ends movie that came out today.  DD says she can get it on Peacock.  Funny thing is I just watched the original 40 yr. old Halloween.  I hate stabby things, knives, axes, swords, scissors etc.

This could be interesting tonight, me and a movie that probably has a ton of sharp pokey things.

You sound like more fun than us.  I want to prep for a birthday celebration meal tomorrow and then watch a new episode of Bad Sisters on Apple.

Re: Anyone Doing Fun Stuff Tonight?

@tansy   I used to be up for going out even after working all day.  DD  used to do a lot of movies, concerts etc.

Now, meh.  Going out seems to much like work.  She has an excuse, she leaves at  7:30 am and home at 6:30 at the earliest. She has an hour commute each way. My only excuse is I'm old and tired.

Have a good time at the birthday celebration.

Re: Anyone Doing Fun Stuff Tonight?

My dear boyfriend and I are boring too.  Rarely go out, but tonight is an exception.  His daughter, son and daughter-in-law are taking us out for a joint birthday celebration. DBF's birthday was last week and my 70th is next week, so they are taking us to dinner.  The little grandkids will be along also, so it should be fun.   Usually after dinner we watch Jeopardy, then he watches sports in his man cave and I watch TV in the living room, but that is OK with us.    We are definitely old and get lazy.  Going out takes too much effort - LOL!!

Add DH and me to the list of boring couples...and we like it that way. In about 30 minutes I'll put a DiGiorno pizza in the oven, and after we eat we'll settle down to watch some programs we have recorded. We've never really been big on going out, and as we've gotten older it happens less and less.

Re: Anyone Doing Fun Stuff Tonight?

My granddaughter is going to Homecoming tonight so I will be anxiously awaiting all of the pictures posted on Facebook.

A large group of the kids gather at a location so all of the parents and friends are able to take pictures.

It is a gorgeous evening here so the fall foliage should be a great backdrop.

Well, right now, I'm watching the Atlanta Braves in the playoffs and am so nervous, LOL.

Tonight at 7,  let's see if I can word this so that I won't get us poofed because that is not my intent, I am going to watch a highly anticipated local event on tv.  Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Anyone Doing Fun Stuff Tonight?

Friday nights I gather with my girlfriends for dinner and tv.  We took a break when school started and are starting back tonight.  I'm hosting.  We'll be dining on jalepeno popper mealloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and tossed salad with apple crisp for dessert.  We're streaming the second season of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Ooh, I had forgotten about that, @gidgetgh.  Put your cows in the barn 😊
