Where the heck are their parents? I just read that this has happened at least twice in a matter of weeks. The most recent one, the young person was caught and thrown to the ground by an umpire or something.
Here's more of the story here:
For the second time in as many weeks, someone has run onto an NFL football field during an active game. This time, a kid ran onto the field at Raymond James Field on Sunday while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were playing the Atlanta Falcons.
They ran onto the field in the second quarter when the Bucs were lining up for the extra point, which came after Leonard Fournette's 1-yard touchdown run. The kid didn't appear to get far before they were slammed into the turf by an adult security guard about twice their size. It was not shown on the broadcast (like last week's incident with a fan running onto the field at Levi's Stadium), but a fan at the game caught the very end of the incident on video and posted it on Twitter (there are a couple of salty words used).

I heard it wasn't a child, but am curious on who does that, and where are their parents (if it turns out to be a small child)?

The parents are at home watching the game on tv.

I'm inclined to think some want their 15 minutes of fame...........

I'm assuming these are teenagers, not children. The parents home doing whatever people do and don't know their kids are doing this. But this has only happened a couple of times, it's not like it's happened in every game this season. They do it for attention.

The man who ran on the field during last Monday Night football with the smoke bomb and was tackled by a player is suing!!!!! The player said he had no idea what the guy had in his hands and just reacted. To me it was a possible threat and in this day and age could have been a real bomb.
I didn't read the age of the latest one, but I doubt it was a young child. Does anyone have further information?

The first one was an activist of some sort. They want attention. When I was young it became common for people to run onto fields with no clothes on. They were called streakers.

I was going to post the same thing. We're lucky these individuals had their clothes on!

It's a reckless thing to do for attention. The one with the reported 'child' was rough. That youngster (looked like maybe a teen?) was body slammed to the ground. I thought it was a bit overzealous.
Anyone who does this, though, should know that they're going down -- hard. How can it be worth it?
