I'm pulling for California Chrome. It's a real Horatio Alger story with the owners breeding a horse that was totally unexpected by the pros in Kentucky. It should be exciting.

I'm not a gambler so no bets here. But I'm rooting for California Chrome. Seems to have a lot of spirit.

wow.....did anyone hear the owner speak?

how bitter that man is!

he said that california chrome had a target on his back and called some of the other horses/owners cowards for not racing in the other two races..... unbelievable!

Just heard the owner of California Chrome twist off...not in a good light. What an a.$$. He basically wants the Triple Crown given to him without earning it. Ick. Glad his horse didn't win. Sore Loser. BIG sore loser.

I didn't hear it but that's really nothing new. Fresh horses always come in for the mile and a half, horses that might be better suited to the distance. Owners and trainers always talk about them being afraid to run in the first 2 legs. Blah Blah Blah.

Too bad really. If they'd just been gracious it would be so much better.

Chrome just didn't drop his head and do what he did the last 2 races. But he's still a wonderful horse!
