Problems began immediatly after allegedly Edge automatically updated. (On Windows 10)
Then, all h*** fell apart.
The 'e' of Edge is extremely similar to the 'e' of explorer.
I thought I had Explorer to begin with, looking at the 'e' icon, but it was Edge instead. Which I found out after it updated and had all of this commotion.

I haven't been over to the other thread.............just happy to arrive here, for a change.
Anyway, if Q can't solve their problem, maybe they can have a talk with or research M*crosoft Edge folks.
Maybe there's a compatibility problem with them and vice-versa.
It's worth a try, even though I'm not gadget savvy.
Just looking for answers, from a very electronically simple person.
Always wishing to solve problems so everyone's happy.

@ROMARY, Reading your descriptions, it sounds more (to me) as though you're having problems related to your Edge browser on your device. Not saying you can't continue on this thread, but you might consider starting a new discussion in "Electronics" to see if other PC users might have some suggestions? I'm so far removed from using anything other than Apple devices, now, that I'm not a good resource at all... but I hate seeing anyone having trouble. I'm sorry you've encountered these problems.🌻

Micr*soft Edge kept telling me (in a box) that they aren't permitting me to access this site.
In fact, they wouldn't even permit me to access THEIR OWN SITE to follow their steps to remedy the problem.
It kept telling me that they weren't permitting access to every site I wished to enter.
Allegedly, because I don't know anything about anything related to electronics, I don't recommend (to myself) ever having M*cros*ft Edge in HP computers.
Try to persuade the store's technician to remove it before taking it home.
That's just my feelings right now, mainly because of the hours and hours of stress and waiting and waiting to access my emails.
Also, after my experience, I don't recommend folks to enable medical info from their docs solely via computers.
A voicemail or phone call is a better bet, imo.
I'm here now, after all of these days, only because someone picked up a Hot Spot device for me.
It's a small gadget that sits next to my laptop.
Nothing to plug in.
It's wireless.
So far, it's working!

I believe the Hot Spot was around $80+ or so. Not sure, but this one is the new, updated Hot Spot. New on the market as of today, Friday, Nov. 8.
I'll let you know the exact price.
This one is T-Mobile.
I believe there's a small monthly charge, no contract.
They said that if it doesn't work, just bring it right back for a refund.
Nice folks at their store.

UPDATE:
This new Hot Spot is $84 plus $10 Sim card.
And $10 a month for I think 2(?) Giga Bytes.
If viewing movies, etc., then you can have or add more Giga Bytes, from what I've gathered.
Anyway, so far, so good.
I'll keep you posted.
