Why if you track your order using 'order status' and you click on the link that takes you to the post office information and it hasn't been updated in 2 days

So, you copy the number and take it to the USPS tracking page and it says

"no such number exists".

I got a pkg that was suppose to been here the 14th I wanted to see where it was. Q's link hasn't been updated since the 13th, so, I thought I'll go straight to USPS and update myself, but, it says the number doesn't exist.

What am I missing here ?

From what I have experienced, the USPS won't have any info until UPS sends them notice that a package is about to be delivered to one of their facilities. This happens to me with any vendor that uses this way of delivering. For me, the hold up is always with UPS, especially over a weekend.

I do not know where you live but the post office was closed yesterday due to the snow storm so that could be why.

You might have to put the numbers "92" in front of the QVC post office tracking number in order for the PO to recognize it.  If not '92", then try "93".

The package could have been delayed getting to your post office, because it encountered bad weather on its way to your post office.

I owe you a big THANK YOU that worked ! by putting in '92' in front of the big long tracking # it told me exactly where it was and I put in for email updates.

This should be front and center for people like me who are out of the loop.

Now, why it works I don't have a clue, LOL, but, by dingy it does.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out !

@SharkE Aww, shucks!!!!  You're quite welcome.  Glad to help.

What I don't understand is why QVC doesn't put the entire number in the tracking information.

But...but...why doesn't the Q tracking # include the "92?"  Or at least a little note somewhere that says:  If you have difficulty locating, please put the number "92" in front of this big a&& tracking number?  Sheesh!

I made myself a note for future

Tired of copying that big long number only to be told #number does not exist" when it's been in the mail for 4 days according to Q's tracking information. USPS is horrible about not updating their information

Want to know what aggravated the       out of me the most ?

When they send you an email saying "your item has been delivered" and I just got it out of my own mailbox.

Say what ?   No ****   Thanks for that tidbit of infor. LOL
