I will be moving at the end of February. I have so many kitchen things that are all still good, but no room for them. Besides throwing them in the trash, where do I start to get rid of them?

@May5 Go onliine or perhaps to your city's FB or nextdoor page and offer to donate them to someone who needs them. Or find a charity that aids those who need these things. You'd be surprised at how many families do need this type of thing.

Garage sale, or donate to Goodwill or Salvation Army.

Are there any thrift shops in your area that take donations?

Donate to any local church that could sell them at a rumage sale?

Post them on your area's freecycle (website or fb) or 'buy nothing' facebook group. The people will pick up from your porch.

Good luck with your move.

Purple Heart through Go Green Drop.  They will come to your home to pick up off your front porch.

Good luck on finding a place to donate.  I am in the process of downsizing and am trying to get rid of items.  Most of the donation places won't take any items.  I did end up listing a few items on Nextdoor for free.  You might try doing that.  I have a lot of collectibles to get rid of,  no one wants them.

Had a neighbor that moved this past fall and got a dumpster and ended up throwing a lot of items away.  I

@quilter61  Yes, people, especially younger folks, don't want collectibles.  Kitchen gadgets and such, maybe.

The way folks are so particular about the food they prepare and how they make it, I would think that kitchen gadgets would be desired.

Had a neighbor whose mother died and left her effects for her daughter to have.  Her daughter tried to yard sale them but no takers.  The oak table and chairs had to be donated or thrown out though they were in good condition.  I'm afraid the glassware had to be tossed out as well.  Gone are the days.
