Bookplate!
I love the movie, Them and have seen it so many times, since it came out in the fifties. I love SyFy movies!!!! Actually the acting in this one is good! I have it on my DVR for when I am in the mood to watch yet again!!!! There are so many good SyFy movies from the fifties.

Even the Bible tells of a time that ants and insects will be so invasive. There is also scripture about being as prepared as ants.
Proverbs 6:6-8 -
6 Go watch the ants, you lazy person. Watch what they do and be wise.
7 Ants have no commander, no leader or ruler,
8 but they store up food in the summer and gather their supplies at harvest.

Tell me about the weather in your area. If you are being flooded or about to be flooded, you may find ants in your own home, in stores, in food, even food that is considered safe. Ants fear heavy rains and floods, and even storms and will reach for higher ground and food. During droughts and right before floods, we have had them come into our house and get into our cabinets where there was no food, into our grandfather clock and up the walls in our closets where there was no food. My house was not unclean. Ants are seeking higher ground from being destroyed by water. That is why you can put your animal's food bowl in a water bowl and they will leave that animal's food alone. They fear the water that they cannot get away from.

@Mary Bailey wrote:I just had a huge ant on my sofa. I flicked it off. We couldn't find it. A few minutes later, it was back on the arm of my sofa. Hubby grabbed it with a tissue & threw it away. I go into the kitchen it is sitting on the the lid of the trash can. I grab it with a napkin & throw it away again.
Isn't this a horror movie?!
(I haven't seen it again)
No, it's called "Be sure you are killing the ant before you have nightmares about it." There is no law against killing ants, not even in the Bible. Read of invasion of the Israelites by maggots, ants, etc.

I quickly tied the bag back up again and took them outside to the trash can . I couldn't believe it , now I don't know if it was from the manufacturer or where Walmart stored them. I have never come home with ants in anything till now . Think I will buy bread products elsewhere at least for the summer. They had made there way to other breads in our pantry where they were stored as well . Good thing after tossing they are totall gone ! Strange thing.
If the ants were in the hot dogs in your refrigerator, you might want to look for them there. They might have been trying to get into the hot dogs to get away from the cold of the refrigerator. If they had come from Walmart days ago, likely they would have been dead. They could not have stood the cold temperatures that long unless they got into the hot dogs while they were in your car on the ride home. Check your car and your fridge for ants.

@Carmie I have some of those donuts on my counter. Just checked them and they're fine .
My exterminator is due whenever the rain stops so he can catch up.
According to him they're worse after the rain. I missed a treatment (outside) around the house due to birds in a window box nest.
I'll call him soon!

@Ants fear rain. They are trying to get away from high waters. They fear drowning. So they come into your house seeking dry ground. Remember about Noah and the flood.

They can invade your house within hours if you allow them.

Take a couple pics of the packaging and let someone with Walmart know .... or go on their website.
Seriously ... take the time to do this.
They need to know if manufacturers are adding extra "ingredients" to their rolls!
