With all that we have bought for our home renovation I hate t think of what the shapping cost would of been if we were not Prime

@PinkyPetunia Amazon never takes that long to ship! Twice this week, I have ordered an item in the morning, and it's on my doorstep by early evening. Now that's service!

You are fortunate. I placed an Amazon order this past Sunday and it hasn't shipped yet. Is supposed to arrive by Saturday.

Agree. We had Prime when it was a lot cheaper. Too expensive now unless you order a lot like a previous poster. It's easy to spend $35 and we usually get our orders in 2 or 3 days anyway.

Amazon has lots of items, but it can be lacking. I do use them, but not for everything. Yesterday I placed orders with L L Bean, Apple and Her Room, all with free shipping. Look around.

I use Ebay for most things because individual sellers can offer free shipping if that's your thing. Sometimes paying shipping with a lower-priced item means you pay less tax on that item.
I never liked Amazon and always having to order enough to meet the free shipping threshhold. No, their prime doesn't interest me in the least.
Honestly, I think it's ridiculous that ANY retailer would dare charge customers money just to shop with them! I should pay money so I can spend money? How stupid is that?
JMO, of course.

@Tinkrbl44 When you pay for Prime, among other things, you're paying for shipping. I place at lease 4 orders a week. Imagine what a year's worth of shipping would be at that rate.

@PinkyPetunia I'm in King County WA location of Amazon. My orders rarely take a week, likey due to my location. Not a Prime member.

We've been Prime members for years and we are quite happy with it. For the most part things are shipped free, quickly and arrive on time. We also enjoy the benefits of lower prices at Whole Foods, use their CC and receive points on purchases, watch shows and movies and use their music options. We love it and it came in VERY handy during Covid! We find it's a reasonable cost.
