They are made with beans and chickpeas and they are not cookies @Kachina624 .

This makes the recall of four products with no FDA involvement. Recalls are usually voluntary but companies usually use the FDA to disseminate  the information. TJ's used the FDA last month for their frozen fruit recalls. This is strange.

Probably stones in with the chickpeas....that would be bad to bite down on a rock!

The rocks came in probably with the beans. That's why when I get beans I rinse and sort them for rocks and bad beans.  I have seen a few rocks , they are tiny pebbles, over the years. Not many but I have got them. The sorting machine at plant, and or th human sorter wasn't doing the job.  They usually run the beans through a couple times to catch rocks

I've never had falafels but think I would like them, having just looked them up.  I'll try some of TJ's - once they get the rocks out of their system.

Seems to me that TRADER JOES has a lot of recalls [ lately-
