i heard just outside baltimore  hardford county..i watch my news on youtube,  JLR is talking about it now.. most of the time he has live broadcasts

It's an isolated incident.  There is NOT an active shooter.  School has been evacuated.

"One person has been "shot" and airlifted to the hospital in a fight involving a weapon on Friday afternoon that led to the evacuation of Joppatowne High School at Maryland.

The incident described by authorities as "isolated," unfolded at around 12:45pm on Friday, when the Joppatowne High School at Joppa, was forced to evacuate.

The Hartford County Sheriff's Office responded to a fight at the school where a weapon was brought onto campus.

Families have received the automated message: "This is an important message for our Joppatowne High School community.

"The Hartford County Sheriff's Office has responded to the school for an isolated incident on campus today.

"There was a fight on campus to known parties. A weapon was brought onto campus and used in the incident.

"The HCSO and HCPS are working together to get this information to you."

I wish posters would actually get some details straight before they come here to post a story with little to no info.

I have grandchildren in several different MD schools and the post scared me wondering if they might be involved in a lockdown and in danger.

Oh no! My late brother went to school there (I didn't)! It was brand new back then and I remember it well. 

I will say a prayer for the staff and students and families of the school.

@Mersha  Same here, and it took me a few minutes before I could find out where it was. Very scary for me too.

I try to block out the news of school shootings.  It is too horrible to think about children being shot in their schools.  It is even more horrible that this happens time after time and nothing happens to stop it.
