Excellent job at thwarting this scam!  I used to get calls saying that 1,961.00 order has been placed on Amazon in my name or husband's name and if we did not place the order call.....then they would say a number.  They would leave a voice mail.  I just report the call it then gets blocked and delete it but since it can shake you up you did the right thing.

I still have a landline.  I just want to keep it.  Yeah, I have a cell phone but I only turn it on when one of my creditors' drops the ball and I have to play baby sitter..uh....LOL...oh, and I use it to play music while in the car.  I am terrified on the road because it's like walking through a mine field.

JudyL.        THAT was a close one!  uh...never call numbers.  Always, always do what the OP did.  Call the bank or whatever yourself.  

I used to watch fraud squad.  My schedule changed so I don't anymore but my husband works in IT and he knows.  In fact, where he works they have drills they do on the employees to test them to see it they'll fall to a scam and some still do.

I think.......the thing of it is, is that if they catch you at the right time, say, you're upset about an issue and trying to work through it and bam, they call it's easier I guess, for them. 

Fraud Squad talked alot about how people are ashamed when they get tagged by a scammer.  Don't be.  We're all only human.  I'm sorry for your trouble.  It must have been so awful for you.  

As long as it's all over with don't stress.  Not worth it.  Just keep your guard up.  XXOO

I can't tell you how many emails and texts I've blocked and reported. I don't know what device you're using but most are pretty easy to block and report. If you don't know, google how.
