@Kachina624  No, that would not be funny at all. Ladies who lunch here in DFW would be grabbing their pearls at an alarming rate!!!!!!!

@esmeraldagooch, she didn't get the story wrong.  I read the story on-line and prior to the press release that you posted, there was more to the story including the company indicating they are closing all their stores.  They will be liquidating all inventory and while that happens, stores will operate as usual.  They didn't know when the closings would happen but all stores will close.

Sorry to hear it, as any job losses aren't good.

Never heard of the place, though.

@Kachina624. I've never heard of that store, but if you enjoyed shopping there and it's closing...sorry. 😢

There is one about an hour away from me.  I've only been there once.  I found it disheveled and poorly laid out with no signage of where to find the departments (and it is a HUGE store).  I also thought the quality of the clothing to be very poor.  However, I know several people who love the store and have gotten cute things from there but I wasn't as lucky.

2 stores were in the news yesterday for closing down or selling itself

ruby tuesday an eating place is putting itself on the market, they can't keep up with the "fast food sit down places"

Gander hill (it is mainly in midwest and south). I believe that is the name of the outdoor place.  They are closing quite a few stores. they are declaring chapter 11 today.

Hudson's Bay Co that owns Saks & Lord & Taylor is looking to take control over Neiman Marcus without assuming its 5 billion dollar debt.
