Anyway, they've declared bankruptcy and are closing all their stores.
We had Richman Gordman stores here when I was still a teen. After many stores for many decades the name Richman was dropped. Gordman had 3 stores in our city, and also a store called Gordman Discount Store. Carried some of the same clothes and other items, with some having a slight defect of some kind.
That store in our north area of the city closed last year and I don't remember seeing any with that name since. They always had nice stores and I liked there stores and their products. Like many things I like, time moves on and things change.

I haven't shopped at Gordman's in over a year....I think this is my fault.
(I am not familiar with the Richman part; In Denver there was a store called the 1/2 Price Store that turned into Gordman's.)

I don't think they've been in the Albuquerque area very long and already leaving.

Wow, I hate that....Ours isn't close, but I love to go there. DH has gotten some good deals there. Dang.
I like to order things online, but I don't want that to be my main form of shopping. I like to try on my clothing....
And I hate to think of all the workers who will be losing their jobs. It doesn't even make sense. The one I am talking about is huge and whenever I have gone, has had a parking lot full of people.

Macy's is going to turn some of their departments into self-service (like cosmetics and shoes) and close about 79 stores.
And Neiman Marcus has put itself up for sale.
Not surprised about this. Not many people in the country could afford this place.

@LonestarBabs Wouldn't it be funny if Walmart bought Neiman Marcus?

Store they opened by us is filled with nothing but junk. Clothing fabric is paper thin. Other stuff is really poor quality. Went in twice and never wasted my time again. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they have.
