Another Musician Gone

Gary Wright, who sang "Dream Weaver" and "Love is Alive" passed away yesterday from Parkinson's Disease and dementia. He was 80. He joined Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band in 2008. 

 

 

I listen to Sirius Yacht Rock radio in the car, and they've been playing "Dream Weaver"  a lot all summer.

 

 

 

That's three - Jimmy Buffett, Steve Harrell, Gary Wright

Dream Weaver has been a real favorite of mine since it first came out!!!  I also love Love is Alive.  He was so gifted and he will be missed very much.  Another sad loss....

I know, since I've reached "that age" when all our rockers are aging, that we'll start losing all my old favorites but it sure is sad.

Found out yesterday; peaceful rest and many thanks to him.

Adore 'Dream Weaver' and 'Love Is Alive'.

Very talented songwriter, musician, and vocalist.
