Re: Another Money/Space Question

When my sister had a hot tub I would use it when it snowed. It was great.

My Mother thought I was insane.

I'd like a sewing room like some of those I see on Instagram!  Of course there would be room for a sewing machine, a serger, and a cover stitch machine. Lots of open shelving for fabric and supplies, and windows for natural light.  Right now I have a sewing closet, lol.

Although this isn't something that you could purchase, I would love to have a large laundry room and a big pantry off of my kitchen.   I would love to have a pantry similar to what Ina Garten has in her house on Long Island.

Unfortunately our house isn't large enough to build either room. So in the meantime I will be happy with my small laundry room and my pantry closet in the hall.

Re: Another Money/Space Question

As empty nesters, we've 'right' sized and are happy with our patio home. However, a large, cozy, four-season covered sun porch off the kitchen would give us an additional dining and sitting area with guests or when we want to have a room with a view. We currently have a smallish open deck with walk down courtyard (grill area, flower & vegetable garden and firepit) We would spend a lot of time in a four-season sun porch.

Re: Another Money/Space Question

Oh, like a few others, an indoor pool.  I used to swim and do water exercises for my back in a great health rehab place.  It was wonderful.  It’s in a senior community, long shut down due to the virus.  In the climate in CT, DH and I could have so much fun every day regardless of weather.

A much bigger deck and a screened-in porch.
