I hate that I have to open it every day just to delete "people you may know." Sometimes there are upwards of 20-30 a day. I find this the most obnoxious intrusion, as these are total strangers . . . friends of friends of friends . . . into eternity.

I have Facebook for photos only. I rarely chat on it, just "Happy Birthday" or something similar. My whole family loves the photos, which is the only reason I haven't closed it.

If you bookmark to open Facebook to your newsfeed instead of the welcome screen, you won't have to deal with the friends you may know. That only appears on the welcome screen. I rarely, if ever, open that screen.

I tried to ignore it too until I wound up having hundreds of them with more being added every day. I like to keep my programs "clean." Do you know how many actual "friends" I have on FB? 25

Yep, mine has changed, about a week ago, I'm beginning to get use to it, but don't like it!

I'm on FB and while I don't hate it I don't see the point of some of the things my "friends" there post. It seems to be more of a "look-at-me" kind of thing rather than any real sharing of anything important. There are exceptions, of course.

I haven't noticed any changes. Then again I don't remember when...or if...I've ever had "friends" online showing up on the side.

So.........I just looked at my notifications and 4 friends ""like a photo I shared"".

I click on the notification and picture shows up with the ""likes"" on it.....but I never posted the picture. It's not on my timeline or my homepage. The only way I can see it is if I click on the notification.

It says I ""shared this 3/29/14. I never ""shared"" it.

Interesting.
