...by the powers that be. Posting Influencer Reviews. Influenced by money, free product, what. Not a good idea.

Not a problem for me @avid shopper . Not all influencer reviews are positive. All retailers do this, especially Amazon. I have found QVC does this when they are introducing a newer item for them and there are no QVC customer reviews.
I like it better than having no reviews. I always default to "Most Helpful" and this usually eliminates reviews from other sites as well as influencers.
Although I prefer customer's reviews from the particular website I am shopping at, I don't find it a bad idea. Better than none.

While I do not, I have many friends, including those mid age to older who follow tons of infuencers!!!
They have purchased items they are promoting.

I agree that any review is better than none, as long as they actually say something about the product and not just "I loved this!"
An aspect someone else might consider to be wonderful, I might hate, so I am still getting an idea of whether I would like it or not.

They're real reviews, and frequently give negative feedback. I see it all the time, including here yesterday when I read the reviews for the TSV. I was happy to read those because it saved me from having to go to the manufacturer website and check there.
So, nothing nefarious and nothing to consider a bad idea.

To me, it's just an apples-and-oranges comparison.
Just because an influencer ... ANY influencer .... thinks something is the greatest thing since sliced bread doesn't mean I "need" it and have to buy it.
I could be wrong, but I think a lot of women just routinely buy stuff as a hobby.
