I just heard they found her phone in the water. Doesn't sound like this story will end well.
She was attending a yoga certification retreat when she failed to attend classes on the morning of June 20, the yoga retreat said. She was last seen the evening of June 19 at the retreat, according to the organization, which said it asked police to investigate.
Casey, who has been practicing yoga for 15 years, was last seen at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas, her family said.

So scary isn't it. I never was worried about visiting The Bahamas before @San Antonio Gal

The Bahamas have become dangerous in the last few years. The crime rate has increased dramatically. Just stay away from there altogether. The Florida Keys have the same climate, are just as beautiful, and much safer. Keep your money in the USA.

Cruise ships are still stopping there. My friend went on cruise in April there and it was announced it can be dangerous, he said virtually no one got off the ship there.

It's been a while since I've been to Nassau. Also St Thomas was always a great place to visit. I have friends that stayed at a timeshare and they were told not to venture out at night!

I don't take cruses. I usually fly there and stay in a hotel. It is dangerous if you leave the resort there. My husband and I would rent a motorcycle and ride around. Opposite side of the road. My first trip there we came to huge intersection ....and my husband wasn't sure how to make a left turn! Yikes. Still remember that. Anyway, we survived that. Last we were there...piece of cake so my husband says. Our net trip to the UK shouldn't be a problem!

If is his the location I am thinking of there are some pretty remote areas in it. I think the former Club Med Paradise Island, became the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas

It's too bad. It's always been "on my list" but I'd not gotten there yet. I wouldn't go right now. Maybe not ever at this point. Too many other options.
I'm so surprised Lisa Robertson chose there to live now. She's been asked in some of her Lives on Facebook, and she really went into how "there's crime all over" (true, for sure), and kind of what felt like a "doth protest to much"....long time explaining it away and how you just had to know where and where not to go. That may be true.
Still surprised with her resources they chose there.
I've never been to Bermuda either and always heard of people who loved it, that went several times...wonder how things are there, now.

UK has become dangerous as well. I guess it depends on where you go and where you stay. My son and DIL were there a couple years ago and said there are machete gangs which are asylum seekers (so they say) who are very dangerous and fight with one another for dominance.

It is true, there is crime everywhere. Where I live, it's not too bad for the most part but 15 miles away it's another story.
