Most of you know you can get free credit reports on annualcreditreport dot com

It's the official site backed by Federal law.

If you  haven't checked lately you should know you can now access weekly information.

It's safer by phone to have a annual and/or weekly report snail mailed to you for those of you who do not want to submit your SS# to a website.

Over the phone you punch-in on your phone keypad the SS#.

That won't work for me. My cell phone has an outdated OS & my home phone is a VOIP connection so neither are safe to enter my SS #.

I have never checked ours in the 44 yrs we have been married. I don't even know what one looks like.

@Nightowlz

I have seen my written report 2-3 times in my adult life.

I can see my credit score anytime. Most CC companies and banks post an abbreviated score each month.

If you and your DH need to obtain a full report. ask you bank.

I will have to ask the Credit Union about getting one. They really don't want you to come inside if you don't need to. They would like you to make an appointment or use the ATM.

At some point DH will buy a new vehicle so I can find out when he does that.

I only share my SSA # when necessary.

We are in an health and economic crisis. I received two security alerts about fraudulent emails and other online activities this week

My accounts with the agencies have been frozen since the Equifax fiasco.   BTW the fourth credit reporting agency everyone should be concerned with is Innovis.

This was released in January, more information on the FICO website

FICO (NYSE: FICO), a global analytics leader, today announced the latest release of its flagship FICO® Score, the FICO® Score 10 Suite, will be available this summer.

Built with FICO’s deep expertise, the new FICO® Score 10 Suite gives lenders unparalleled flexibility and predictive power to make more precise lending decisions. The new FICO® Score 10 T incorporates trended credit bureau data to further enhance predictive power. Leveraging the most comprehensive data available, FICO Score 10 and FICO Score 10 T outperform all previous FICO Scores.

By adopting the FICO® Score 10 Suite, a lender could reduce the number of defaults in their portfolio by as much as ten percent among newly originated bankcards and nine percent among newly originated auto loans, compared to using FICO® Score 9. The reduction in defaults is even higher for newly originated mortgage loans, at 17 percent compared to the version of the FICO Score used in that industry. These improvements in predictive power can help lenders safely avoid unexpected credit risk and better control default rates, while making more competitive credit offers to more consumers.
