Ankle length pants

How many people here purposely wear them? Susan Graver just said it's supposed to be ankle length on a 5'11" model. I don't get it. I want my pants to come to my heel. If I were to wear high-heels, I would want a longer inseam. I think ankle pants were named that on QVC because they save money by making them a few inches too short.

It's like making the toilet paper rolls narrower or making 3/4 sleeve lengths.
