@pugvette74, thank you for signing up.  I hope that you enjoy doing it as much as I do.  There are so many lonely people out there and I always hope that getting cards helps with the holidays.   This has become a major part of my holiday celebration and I look forward to doing this every year.

@SXMGirl  I just copied your post to send to a friend.  She loves to make cards and just moved out of state.  Hasn't made friends yet and is bored.  She told me she has her craft room all set up so she should be ready to go.

@Kachina624, thank you so much!  I am sure that the cards your friend makes are beautiful and those receiving will really enjoy getting them.

Every year I send Christmas cards out for the Angel Card Project.  These cards go to strangers who are in need of holiday cheer.  Some are in nursing homes, some widowed with no one at home, children who are bullied and feel that they have no friends, and the list goes on.  I get a detailed list during the first week of December and can send one card or cards to all.  The detail includes names, addresses, ages, and why they are in need of holiday cheering.

The reason that I am posting is not only to let others know that they can also volunteer,

What a wonderful project to be involved in!  I just signed up!  Thank you for posting this @SXMGirl.

One thing that I neglected to mention is that in January an e-mail will go  out requesting the number of cards that each person sent.  No names and addresses--just the number.  So, those who are doing this with me, just keep track of how many cards you sent.

Thanks again for all of your support.  The holidays can be lonely, stressful, and just an unhappy time for many, especially for those without family.  I truly believe that these cards not only offer cheer but might even save a life.
