Where and how did you meet your spouse and was it immediate "magic" or maybe so not much?

I met mine at work in DC.

It was not magic in the least.  In fact, my take was he was a pompous a**.  It took quite a bit of time to get to know him and realize my judgment was way off.

We both dated other people for quite awhile before realizing there was a connection.

We met on a subway in NYC.  Saw each other on the platform for a couple of months until one day the only seats available were next to each other.  He started to talk and we started to date although I continued to see other people.  3 and 1/2 years later we married and will be celebrating our 44th anniversary in September.

We met at work.  We were, and still are, the best of friends that fell in love.

We worked together. He was dating someone he ended up marrying, and I was dating someone I ended up marrying.  He left the company for a new job and I didn’t see him for years. Ran into him and found out he was going through a divorce.  So was I...

We both worked for the same company, but on different floors.  One day, when I was retrieving my boss' mail, he was sitting in the break room, having coffee.  He struck up a conversation, and, as they say, the rest is history!

When I was 5 and he was 7 we were in his uncle's wedding.   My family were friends of the bride.  We ran into the bride (now his aunt) many years later and she asked me if I remembered the little boy in their  wedding. "Only by pictures", I said.  She told me he had been wounded in Viet Nam and would be at Walter Reed Hospital for awhile and would I write to him. I did and we have been married for 53 yrs!
