[Group 5 minus 1]

As we now study our ancestry (remember Roots?) I remember a teacher my younger son had in third grade. She told him she was more American than he. I had a quiet talk w/the school principal.

I took a course in "Finding your Roots" and really enjoyed it.

My relatives all claim to have "royal" or "noble" ancestors.     

Well, I gotta tell ya....they didn't jump on the boat for America because they were RICH...

I did the DNA test because I was interested.  Found out my sister is really my sister.  That was a disappointment.

My brother did one.  Found out either our great grandfather on my mother's side had an illegitimate daughter.  Her son contacted our family and met many relatives when he made a trip to my hometown.

Omg... we found out some pretty shocking stuff! Some of my siblings don't even want to talk about it. I think it's great, personally. So yes, I believe it does matter. 🤗

I enjoy doing it, but I stay away from the DNA side of it.
