A little surprising that with the tip-anybody-and-his-brother posters here no one else thinks a tip is in order for this (possibly underpaid) woman who wasted her time AND left gifts.

I am glad you had a good experience with the company. They tried to fix a tiny ding on our windshield and succeeded in only making it bigger. We called another company and had to replace the entire windshield at our own expense.

Last week after a rock hit my windshield on the highway, Safelite came and replaced my windshield. We tipped the service person, so you can stop being grumpy now.Smile

I think sap gets really hard when it dries, and might feel like a chip. Not sure. Anyway, glad it worked out well in the end.

Update: it rained last night and my 2nd piece of glass from Safelite is free of defects! No mysterious fog pattern appeared on the glass.
