I've been a member of these forums since 2003 or 2004.  I will miss them dearly, but will probably not join the FB group.

If anyone wants to start a QVC or home shopping Reddit, and would be willing to moderate it properly, I would join it. You can have anonymity on Reddit, and if you stick to the well-moderated subreddits (which are similar to topical forums), it's fairly safe.

@Porcelain

This is exactly the kind of suggestion I was hoping to read.  I take care of a bedridden family member 24/7, so my dance card is full, but I'd sure join this if someone were willing to moderate.

I don't think I would make a good moderator in practice. I'd be too heavy handed and biased.

I've been on Reddit a few times but never settled in.

I'm so sorry to hear that the forums will be shut down.  I follow several hosts on FB but these forums are entirely different.  Obviously the forums were set up with categories having nothing to do with QVC so posters could interact with each other.  FB is just not the same thing at all.

And Facebook is down and out today. Has been down for 4 hours.

WHY QVC?? I am not going to go to Facebook when I ca just go from a product page here, come to the forums for opinions and reviews on said product and then just go back to what I am looking at.

Asking us to browse here, go to another website (which is NOT FORUMED), try to find any other info on a product, or find there are 40 threads on everything I am not looking for, and then come back to QVC page.

THAT is a ridiculous idea. Not all people have a Facebook, and if anything, people are deleting their FB pages.

You want to force people to another platform? Why? Possible you can make revenue from Facebook, rather than keep these boards up to service your customers? Or even save yourelf time as we users help each other out?

Lots of other places to shop.

It would be nice, before the board is gone, if they would let people post email addresses for those of us who would like to keep in touch.  Not holding my breath, but it would be the decent thing to do for those of us who have no interest in going back to Facebook.   Facebook is NOT the same thing as a board.

ITA. On 11/1 I'm sure a lot will be doing that.

Why join their FB group? Why can't we (those on these forums) start our own group on FB (for those of you on it)? I knew the new CEO would,make changes. Cutting corners already. Not a good way to start off.

Doesn't HSN still have forums? They were very active back in the day.
