I refuse to do FB. My (adult) sons requested that none of the immediate family post pics of family on any social media platform and we all decided we would not do FB.

It a shame about the boards going away as I bought a lot of items people discussed on boards. For example, would never have heard of Linea or Vionic items and I have a closet full. Etc etc.

I agree with you...out of site, out of mind...won't be buying anymore.

Don't you think that they already know if this medium is generating sales. Aren't  our nicknames linked to our accounts? So it probably would not be difficult to see how many sales are coming from posters on the forums. I don't think they are doing this out of spite but the powers that be have decided that the forums do not contribute to the bottom line. So the forums go.  But I could be wrong about this.

How much $$$$ is QVC paying FB to draw purchasing posters to their platform?  It's stomach churning, one huge corporate entity joining with another to manipulate for more profit.

I'm in two Facebook groups and it is just endless scrolling of posts that say "Thanks for letting me join."  Whey moderators allow those posts is beyond me.

are the HSN boards still up and running?

can everyone just "meet" over there?

i am already an active member of the official qvc fb group and a member of several other qvc fb groups, but they are not like having these forums for talking about OTHER things in our lives.

Wasn't there a Vegas Baby forum?

@lulu1 , that is under the dam yankee forum.  You can choose to go to Vegas Baby or a Facebook Refugees forum.

I took a look at some of the topics with names attached to them.  I saw a few infamous monikers from past board wars. I also some  old friends I've missed.

@50Mickey I don't think the qvc people are savvy enough to figure out whether the forum generates sales or not.  They just want to use our posts and likes to bring our facebook friends as customers to qvc.  I don't think it will work because Facebook is a different animal and won't give us the sense of community the forum does.  The posts here are not the same as our posts there.  It's a shame.

@Bri369  and @aroc3435    I was literally voted out of there a few years ago.  I disagreed too much with the moderator and her ridiculous drivel.  I wasn't the only one expelled.

Everything good or at least things I enjoy seems to be going away.   We were naming the restaurants that we love that closed.  The ones left are too expensive to eat at except occasionally.  Things are not changing for the best.

These forums were my morning go to for information, referrals, ideas ect.  Now I won't need to go to QVC.com much anymore.  I cut my Q viewing time down during the holidays.  A lot of things I have bought especially skin care and makeup were bought as a result of coming here and hearing about it.  Facebook will not be something I am interested in.

@Elodie2 @Bri369   I simply "lurked" and did not participate.

I did not like the "tone" or the "rules" and it just seemed there not only was no middle path, there was no sane "path" at all.

The founder and one of her friend moderators also seemed to have a bitter falling out.  Founder's attitude was "my way or the highway" so I just decided not my kind of place AT ALL.
