It’s confusing. It’s still $99/yr if you pay in a lump sum. But for those who want the option to pay monthly it’s now $12.99/mo instead of the previous $10.99/mo. So, slight ding to those who want to pay monthly.

A LOT of people join, pay for a month or two at Xmas and then cancel. Amazon does what they can to even/level the playing field of those who take advantage and then brag about it, as I’ve seen people do on the forums here.

I’ve read those articles, but they seemed to be one-sided.

I would like a more balanced account to the new procedures

Whole Foods has in place before passing judgement. IMO.
