1928 jewelry co. had a Downton Abbey sale on Black Friday with all items at $9.99. My order arrived yesterday and the blue beaded silvertone opera length necklace was out of stock. I quickly went on Amazon and ordered it from there (retail price with free shipping) and later on yesterday I got an e mail saying it had shipped already.

I bought the necklace to match these earrings:

I'm glad Amazon was fast for you. They usually are, but this year the items I ordered last are taking long (as in over 10 days!), and they are still not here! (which is another reason I always shopped earlier other years). The items I ordered first did come in no time.

About the Sunday delivery with the postal service. I have seen them out and about around here on Sundays, but we haven't gotten any deliveries at our home on Sundays.

PS) I saw on our local news in other areas of our county (not where we live), people have been stealing gifts from porches AND Christmas decorations from homes in the suburbs. We live in the country and I am home all day so I watch for the deliveries and get them in. DH and I even check later in the evening to make sure the porch is clear (that we didn't miss any before going to bed), and we track our packages online daily.

Anyway I am done shopping and everything is wrapped! and so is DH is done for a while now. Just waiting for the last of the deliveries, hopefully by weeks end!

Happens to me all the time. Amazon is amazing.  We joke that there must be an Amazon warehouse at the end of our street.  But Q v c has also been speedy lately. Regardless, today is the last day for me to order my Christmas must haves.
