I ordered 3 items from Amazon yesterday and they shipped today, no complaints here!

BTW, I don't have Prime and I didn't pay for expedited shipping, either.

I'm lucky if my Q orders ship in 3-4 days.

Re: Amazon sucks!

[ Edited ]

Amazon shocks me sometimes at how fast they ship. I always make sure what I order says "fulfilled by Amazon".  If they fill it, I almost always get it the next day.

Vendors who fill their own orders do not always update the info, so until they do, Amazon can't update your account.

Hence "fulfilled by Amazon" makes for faster service.

If you sign up in the notifications area of your account, they send a series of "shipped", "where it is", "when it will be to you, at what time", and then "delivered (with the time)".

Little banners show up on my phone, don't even have to log in Smiley Happy

In January of every year they have a Prime sale. They just had it this past Jan and it was only $72.00. So worth it for me. My son watches all the streamed stuff, I listen to the music, and my packages are at my door in a blink.

I have always received faster than anticipated delivery from Amazon.  It does make a difference if Amazon is actually shipping the order.  They can't control what other sellers do - however they do always send you a survey to see if the 3rd party sellers have held up their end of the bargain.  My orders fulfilled by Amazon have always met or usually beat their delivery date estimate.  My only real scare was an item I ordered at Christmas.  When I clicked to buy it, I did not realize it was coming from overseas (England.)  It took every bit of the estimated time, but it did arrive on the last day of the delivery window.

I have Prime, only order Prime, and it's always delivered on time.

Saying one will never order anything from Amazon ever again is pretty much cutting off one's nose to spite their face.  But to each their own.

I try hard to order items sent through Amazon, not a third party seller. Amazon has no say on how a third party seller does business.  If I do order from a third party seller, I pay attention to where they are and their shipping info - and the ratings they have from other purchasers.

Something arriving a day or two after "promised" wouldn't bother me, as long as it arrived.

I think that before I would disparage the entirety of Amazon I would learn to understand tracking.

One thing that will be helpful is that the actual tracking number will be on that screen, over to the right, and you can take that and go to the shipper website, paste the tracking number into the field and enter it through.  This, assuming it has actually reached the carrier, will tell you exactly which day is the ETA.

If you have an account with UPS you will also get emails from them every time there is a parcel headed your way.  It also tells what day, and a time frame, for the expected ETA.

Having ordered hundreds of items from them over many years? I think this is more a "consumer problem" than with the retailer.

If in doubt, they are very easy to contact by telephone and get the information you desire.

Placed an order with Amazon - hate their tracking system, all they give you is a green line moving along to tell you how far the package has traveled.   Made a purchase early last week with four day delivery.  Said to be delivered yesterday by 8 p.m.  Nothing.  Went online this morning and they don't even show my tracking info.  Went into email they had sent me earlier and now it is saying "Delivery between Mar. 5-9".  I really hate that they don't give you a tracking number.  You have no idea how the package is to be delivered, by mail, Fed Ex or UPS.  Last order I will place with them.

I would wait until March 10 or 11 and contact Amazon.

Amazon is great! I've never, ever had one problem with them. Every other company doing business out there should follow exactly what Amazon does! Fantastic! Great! Love them!

I LOVE Amazon, I have been shopping with them for years and rarely had an issue and when I have it was an issue it is generally with the shipper not Amazon, check your facts before you dis a company.

One phone call could answer all your questions, but instead you come on here and beetch and moan to strangers.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
