Yes, I'm getting emails from Amazon about my Prime account. Fake emails, but they "look" real, like they're coming from Amazon. But the Prime account I use isn't in my name; it's in my DIL's name. I just delete them.

This is a Phishing scam.
I've been getting email from a sender described as "Amazon Services" stating my Prime membership is expiring and wanting me to select a hyper link to "correct" it. No way, no how. Don't fall for this, Boys and Girls!

I haven't had that but yesterday when I got on my laptop I had a box pop up and a voice came on to have me call apple about a virus in my computer. It went on and on and gave a number. I just deleted it and moved on.

I got an “Apple” email claiming my Cloud Key would lock in
24-hours UNLESS...ETC...ETC....
I made sure to text my F+F to ignore so called Apple email.
Scary stuff though...

The Amazon scam started several months ago and was widely discussed on news shows - then it seemed to go away, only to recently resume - what is interesting to me is that I place orders for books three or four times a month and yet have never received the scam email.
Every morning I get e-mails into my Spam from Fed Ex, Walmart, CVS, etc, all supposedly telling me I have won a gift card blah blah blah - luckily, my email shows me much of the content without my having to open it - so they get deleted -
Some months ago, someone posted here about hovering your cursor over the email sender's name - then you will see the completely nonsensical email address of the sender - a real clue that the email is a scam.

@Kachina624scam in the sense that if I click on their link, they have an extra path into me.
I think lots of things called scams when the vast majority of receivers don't answer and don't lose $$$. I do believe these contacts are nefarious and do not come from Amazon at all.
Is there a different term I can use?

That is exactly what I do, hover my cursor over the sender's e mail.
Yesterday I won something from CVS! -- e mail subject said CVS! instead of CVS.
