Or to get on the elevator and ride up to the 15th floor to leave the package in front of your door. It has nothing to do with Amazon.
Amazon does have a service called "Key." People come into your home deliver packages when you're not even there. Not that I would ever consider such a thing, cause I would not.
Put the blame where it belongs. Squarely, on the delivery companies, and not Amazon.

Who said it was a high rise building....these are condos built rowhouse style, side by side, I live in Texas not NYC....There's 5 steps to the door.😮...if ANY of the delivery companies cant do that then maybe they need to find a more sedentary job!
For security not posting a photo of my condo, but these are very similar...

Your right, I'm probably wasting my time trying to impact Amazon deliveries and make them live up to their promise on what is supposed to be happening with Prime with what Im paying. But at least venting and making their employees answer my concerns is a small victory! The only reason I have Prime is because Prime Video is the only way to watch Thursday Night NFL games this season.....Yep, Bezos bought the NFL rights....and he said he wants to become even more involved in the NFL ....BUY THE TEAM JEFF! But I guess he's more interested in his venture on going to Mars ...With whats happening in the good ole USA these days I dont blame him! 🙄
I appreciate your reply about the team. I just thought as much as your local media HATES Snyder that there would be news stories all over the place outlining what took place in tis lengthy meeting with the Feds....I know when the Cowboy's Jerry Jones opens his mouth and says something stupid, its a top news story even though we are 299 miles away from Dallas....
Yep, I call the team, WASHINGTON, as I refuse to accept Snyder's name as well.....What's hysterical is my city had an AAF team and of all the names, it was also called THE COMMANDERS....🤣🤣🤣 At least our logo and helmet design were far more creative than the "W" that Danny came up with!!!! Sadly, the AAF went bankrupt as most of the minor leagues do....but wouldnt it have been funny if the name "Commanders" copyright was still in effect and my city decided to sue Snyder for a copyright violation 🤣🤣....Just for grins I did buy an SA Commander's t-shirt as a joke and told my friends, this is THE REAL COMMANDERS....(the shirt was really cheap since the league had folded)....
@Spurt Make an impact on Amazon deliveries? Oh yeah? Amazon has its own fleet of delivery trucks, but they also outsource some of the work to third party delivery people. If you are trying to help Amazon's delivery woes, then you should be speaking to them about their own fleet. Not the USPS, not UPS and not FEDEX. There is one more they use that I hate too, but I know it's not Amazon's fault that my package is sitting somewhere after they hand it off to be delivered by another company they have a contract with. Best thing to do is report the problems with the carriers so Amazon can make informed decisions when contract renewal time comes.
Im talking about ALL the ways amazon and its vendors get products to their customers! (Ive edited my original post)............The contract carriers dont care, they already got paid for the job, they ignore the situation and do nothing----tried that too.

not applicable....5 small steps....similar to this. But thanks for your suggestion about the "Key Service" ..but even if it applied I sure wouldnt do that...too much of a security risk...

There's a large apartment building near me that built Amazon lockers outside near the front door. Kind of ugly, but I guess it's a convenience. There's one locker for large packages.
Given the zillion times I pass that building, I've never seen anyone using the lockers.

Years and Years ago I lived in an apartment that had those lockers in addition to the community mailbox. The lockers were easy to break into and they got broken into so much that the complex told USPS not to use them....

@Spurt As for my building, clearly they're allowed to deliver door to door because sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Amazon allows it because when you call to ask, they agree packages should be left at the door. Management allows it and in fact has posted signage directing all package deliveries to apartment doors, which, of course, is promptly ignored by USPS and often by Amazon. UPS and Fedex usually do as they're asked.

My sister lives in a brand new fancy apartment its set up more like a hotel....and even they prefer packages get delivered to front doors because the apartment office doesnt have time to deal with all the packages that come in and have to be put in their Mail Room.....
For my Condo Plex the Mail Center is right in front and its easy for the drivers to dump it there rather than driving around looking for the unit to leave at the front door...the driver gets done with his job earlier and thats the advantage for them but inconvenient for us customers.
I told Corporate look at the shipping label it clearly shows a complete address including my UNIT#, the Mail Center doesnt have a unit number, so packages should be delivered to my UNIT adhering to the mailing label address! And they even admitted, well you have a point there....

I doubt,i am the only one!!!
I buy it online too, especially when I want to purchase an extra large bonus pack with like, 25 rolls. While it's not heavy to carry, it is cumbersome for my short self, so I like to order it from Walmart or stores that carry the bigger sizes.

@Spurt Much easier for them here too to dump everything in the lobby... They probably figure USPS gets away with it, why shouldn't they... We had concierge services until the pandemic but not now and no idea if they'll start up again... I asked them once how they thought it would fly if they went to a single family or even garden complex neighborhood and dropped everything at the top of the street and expected everyone, on their honor, to come and get their own... Nonsense...
